Dr. Maria Mae De Franco, DC

Dr. Maria De Franco is a chiropractor who champions your health and well being.  After graduating massage school in 2004, Dr. De Franco worked at a wellness clinic in Taos, NM that inspired her to pursue chiropractic medicine.  After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology she then went on to receive her chiropractic degree in 2012.

Dr. De Franco employs a wide variety of techniques in order to best help you meet your wellness goals. Some of the techniques that Dr. De Franco utilizes are: diversified chiropractic adjustments, instrument assisted adjustments (with activator, blocking), Graston Technique, myofascial release and trigger point therapy, intra-oral muscle release for TMJ, visceral massage, N.E.T. therapy, flower essences, cupping therapy, internal pelvic floor therapy, k-taping, nutrition counseling, and individual prescriptive home exercises.

One of the techniques Dr. De Franco is most passionate about is pelvic diaphragm balancing. This may involve internal or external muscular release for the musculature of the pelvis. Having experienced her own share of hormonal imbalances as well as debilitating menstrual symptoms, she found personal release through the balancing of her own pelvic musculature. As a dancer, she has sought out techniques that create balance in the pelvis that are most conducive to optimizing performance. If you are experiencing any form of pelvic imbalance, including infertility, Dr. De Franco highly recommends giving pelvic therapy a try.

When Dr. De Franco is not in the treatment room you may find her power lifting, splitting wood on the ranch, playing ping-pong, on the Latin dance floor, or surfing.

“Well, I will not go down under the ground,
'Cause somebody tells me that death's comin' 'round,
And I will not carry myself down to die,
When I go to my grave, my head will be high.
Let me die in my footsteps before I go down under the ground.” -Bob Dylan
