Getting to know you.
Commonly referred to as the Root chakra, your 1st chakra, stems from the area in your body of your tailbone. Near your tailbone you have a spinal ganglion that transmits electricity down all the way into your feet. The nerves are like roots of a tree making their way down towards the Earth.
This energy center is oriented towards survival, instinct, and our basic needs. The rights of this chakra are the right to be, and the right to have.

The second energy center is known as the sacral chakra.
It is common to have an energy center that has either been repressed or exploited, and that is no different in the second chakra. Sexuality, sensuality, and creativity are represented in this region of the body.
It is located in the pelvis between the naval and the genitals. It correlates with the sacral nerve plexus. The basic right of this energy is center is the right to feel which includes the right to feel pleasure.
Step into your power.
As we make our way up to the third chakra, or solar plexus region, our energy rises. The right of this energy center is the right to do. This translates to the right to act. “I will do this, I can do that.”
Which part of you lives in this energy center? Is this part alive and well? Do you have a sense of who you are?
The heart of the chakra system.
The fourth energy center is known as the heart chakra. It is located in the center of the ribcage, this center’s right is the right to love and to be loved.
“Every moment of every day your heart is having a conversation with your (head) brain.” -Gregg Braden Braden is likely talking in terms of neurology, but if you contemplated that statement metaphorically what would your heart be saying to your brain?
Speak up!
Often referred to as the Throat chakra, your 5th chakra, is connected to your neck, mouth, and jaw regions.
This energy center of the body can manifest imbalances when we hold back from communicating truthfully.
The right of this chakra is the right to speak and to be heard.
I see you, you see me.
This energy center is commonly referred to as the third eye. The location of this chakra is in and around the pineal gland. If you were to draw a line through your crown and one through the space between your eyebrows, the third chakra will be where the two lines intersect.
The right of this chakra is to perceive- to attain awareness or understanding. This chakra is associated with seeing through illusion.
Opening up to life.
When this energy center is in balance, we experience an open mind. Located at the crown of the head, the 7th chakra is also known as the crown chakra.
